MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, Tim Loughton, is urging local residents who are seeking employment, a change of career or training and apprenticeship opportunities to attend the inaugural Worthing and Adur Jobs Fair on March 8th. Tim has organised the event in partnership with Northbrook College, who has offered their new state of the art facilities for the event and who will also be providing seminars on areas such as CV formulation and interview techniques. The Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce are also partnering in the event
Tim said:
‘The number of businesses and organisations attending the fair continues to rise so this will be a great opportunity for anyone looking for work, looking for a career change or looking for training and education opportunities to come along and see what is on offer locally. If you know of anyone who is currently job seeking then please inform them about this event and if you are a local businesses or organisation please get in touch about coming along and taking up a stall, which is free. Although levels of unemployment in Worthing and Adur remain low, and have been falling, there is always more we can do particularly to help young people coming out of school or college get on the jobs and training ladder. That is why I have set up the first Worthing & Adur Jobs fair and if successful I hope this can become an annual event’
The names of some of those companies/organisations attending have been released on the events official Twitter page, which include GlaxoSmithKline, NHS, Bowers & Wilkins as well as Albion in the Community.
