As part of the One Public Estate Programme, and the Worthing and Adur Growth Programme, a scheme to regenerate part of Shoreham will soon be underway.
Burrscrofte Care Home in Ponf Road, which has been empty for 11 years, will be redeveloped along with the Harbour View Healthcare GP surgery and the library to make way for a new community hub with health provision. The demolition is planned to start this Autumn and will take around six weeks to complete.
The redevelopment will comprise of healtcare provision covering primary, community, mental health and holistic sectors. The community hub provision is planned to include the library, a children and family centre and other County Council services working in conjunction with Shoreham Community Centre.
