Cllr Dan Humphreys at Tree Planting

It was a productive mornings work planting tree saplings at the top of Central Avenue. You may be able to make out 100s of stakes and tubes, each one containing a sapling. Despite heavy downpours, nearly 300 saplings including Hawthorn, Crab Apple, Rowan, Hazel, Maple were planted.  The aim is to thicken the hedgerow to attract Nightingales and other species.
