The Broadwater Community House is situated on Dominion Rd, Worthing and provides essential social and community services to local young people. It is a safe place to drop into, and provides opportunities to learn about cooking, using computers and to even get help with homework. The House is open 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, and is now being also used by grown ups in the area.
The project is delivering three main objectives; helping young people and the unemployed to progress into employment or further education; assisting people of all ages to increase their mental and physical health through healthy lifestyle activities; and using activities to engage young people away from truancy and anti-social behaviour.
The House is already supported by Worthing Homes, the extra funding from the Big Lottery will ensure that its future is secure until 2020
