Statement from the Adur Conservative Group Leader

‘On behalf of Councillor Tony Bellasis and myself we would like to express our sadness and disappointment on hearing the news that our former colleagues Cllrs Carson and Carol Albury, Andy McGregor and Neil Parkin have resigned from the Conservative party to join the Reform party.

The timing of the announcement just 10 weeks from the local elections is a cold and calculated move to try to leave us with no time to find new candidates to stand in their place.

We will be fighting as hard as we can to have Conservative representation across the district on every ballot paper. Giving voters the choice they deserve.’

Cllr Emma Evans
Leader of the Conservative Group, Adur District Council
